This white morph Gyrfalcon (falco rusticolus) was likely born on the high arctic tundra of northern Greenland or perhaps Ellesmere Island, and may well have spent winters hunting pelagic alcids in the Denmark Strait. Here she sits stoically and regally on the western shores of the Hudson Bay.
